From very young, I loved old things. Being born in the mid-70s and spending a lot of time around my grandparents gave me perspectives most kids I knew didn’t have. I also have an older sister. We grew up around our older aunts and uncles. Having the daily influence of people born from the 1910s through 1960s made me become an old soul essentially from birth. I admired the way people older than me dressed and kept their things. The collections, spaces, foods, and vast interests resonated with me. Over the years, I have been passed down things and collected things I love. I live in an old home, and I adore it. My preference has always been and will always be vintage over new.

The night before my husband and I premiered our jazz opera in 2023 and only days before Christmas, I was presented with the opportunity to start my own store at one of my favorite antique shops. I had been on the waiting list for a while because open spaces are rare. When I received the call out of the blue, I was shocked but felt confident it was the right time and no coincidence. A month before this call I had come up with a name for my dream store & a tagline. The logo I had drawn years prior. So to secure the space I had to act fast and within two weeks I started this new venture of my dreams! It’ll be an adventure indeed. I’m excited for the journey and grateful for all who come in and find something to love and take home as a personal treat or gift for someone special.
